In 1995, Eiffel tower's North pillar lift was equipped with Stromag France CRD ® braking system
2 x 3T DC powered calipers are enclosed in a regulation loop, allowing a 2.3 sec. smooth braking of the cabin in case of emergency, whatever the number of passengers.
